The Gold Foil specifically developed for Formula Kite class racing with the primary goal being the foil of choice for the 2024 Olympic Games. No compromise, all out performance, using the absolute latest in technology, materials, and testing, to deliver extreme control, speed, and smoothness when racing in the lightest to the most extreme conditions. The Gold Foil board is unbelievably light, while being extremely rigid and robust. The board uses all the latest technology from both Airush and Starboard to give you an unbeatable edge. It is specifically designed to maximize and enhance the Gold Foil performance, working together to provide the competitor with the ultimate race combination.

The board has been designed to provide a more natural stance by increasing the rocker between the front and back foot placement. This makes the board more comfortable to ride, while providing a better foot to board connection allowing you to race harder for longer.
The board uses full PVC sandwich wrap construction technology, coupled with carbon fiber layup, delivering the lightest, stiffest and strongest board possible using all the latest technology known between both Starboard and Airush.
Full length mast to glider connector shims for adjusting the Angle of Attack (AoA) of stabilizer relative to front wing. These shims provide customization of foil to match riders preference, ability and wind conditions. The shims allow adjustment from number I shim (easier riding/more front foot pressure) down to number V shim (points higher upwind, faster, less front foot pressure).
The mast is split into an upper “dry” zone extending 300mm below the underside of the board, where it is thicker, below is the “wet” zone where the mast tapers from 12mm thickness down to its narrowest 11.5mm close to the glider.
The extremely stiff upper dry zone provides support to the wet zone giving an overall super-stiff mast with over 85% of the wet zone under 12mm thickness! The result is a super-stiff smooth mast with incredible feedback to the rider, but displaying extremely low drag resistance.
Mast tapers from full Tuttle width of 155mm to 110mm near the glider, with the centroid of section fully aligned along its length, resulting in zero secondary torsion or bending induced stresses normally arising from curved masts in compression. This translates to direct control and feedback of the glider 1.15m below the rider’s feet.
